Note: can you spot the seagull?
Serene in the face of a breeze
You wouldn't notice, but there was some wind that day. I myself had to keep my cap in place, but the butterfly couldn't care less.
Sunset in Santarém
Sunsets (and sunrises, for that matter) have always been inspiring. This is one of my personal favorites ever, for all the warm colors involved and how much that particular moment meant to me.
Autumn leaves
So the weather's not what it used to be. But I keep keep looking for its signs in the details of nature's color effects.
Mustard sky in Oporto
"Mustard skies", as I call them, seem to air spray the atmosphere with a beautiful and warm yellow color palette that I've loved since I can remember. This one was taken from inside a moving vehicle.
Close enough to touch
I've always had a special connection with the natural phenomena known as rainbows. Some of them have been more meaningful than others. Such is the case of this one, spotted against the water background of a fountain in Coimbra. A sign of hope for the future, close enough that I could "touch" it.
A Few Steps Back
This wasn't actually "taken in a short moment of opportunity", but the buying of the painting it features definitely was. I found it by chance and immediately decided to get it while it was still available. You need to have been to Porto to recognize what it portrays. It's been in my living room for about 3 years and I love it.
